Wooden greeting card that stands up
Postcard-sized card of thin plywood with a cut-out motif, two lines of greeting and a decorative frame. Two slotted feet make it stand; for posting it fits flat into an envelope.

Build instructions
Apart from the workpiece you need nothing else.
Carving and finishing
- Clamp the workpiece flat on the spoilboard or secure it with double-sided tape, and set the origin as shown in the carving assistant.
- Engrave greeting and frame, cut out the motif with the 2 mm end mill, then card and feet.
- Free the parts at the holding tabs with a utility knife or fine saw and sand the tab remains flush.
- Lightly break the edges with sandpaper (grit 120, then 240) and remove burrs.
Assembly and final touches
- Stand the feet on the table with the slot up and push the card onto them with its slots from above.
- Glue coloured tracing paper behind the motif if you like. For posting, pull off the feet and put them in flat.
