What matters with Brass

  • Use sharp bits with a low helix angle, they do not pull themselves into the material.
  • Brass usually needs no lubricant, the chips come off short and dry.
  • Choose a small depth of cut, the material is harder than aluminium.
  • Chips are hot and sharp: do not brush them away by hand, vacuum or use a brush.

The app applies the values

In CNC.myWerkzeug.de you choose the material and the bit, and the matching feeds and speeds are already in the toolpaths. You can save your own values per bit.
