If you have friends with an xTool laser, give them the project as an xTool project: File → Export for xTool (.xcs) or, in the Export window (Ctrl+E), the card xTool Creative Space / Studio. With “Export selection only” just the selected shapes are exported. Beforehand the card shows the xTool layers with their colour, processing and values, plus everything that is not transferred or transferred differently.
What is transferred
- Shapes: every shape as a path in its place (arcs as curves), origin top left as in xTool. Groups are dissolved; texts and codes are transferred as outlines.
- Layers: in xTool, layers are colours. Each combination of layer, cut path and laser profile becomes an xTool layer in the layer's colour (a substitute colour if there are several), with its name and order.
- Processing per shape: On the line becomes score, Cut outside/inside becomes cut, Fill becomes fill with line interval and angle, image engravings become image (PNG). Power (%), speed (mm/s) and passes come from the laser profile.
- In CNC.myWerkzeug.de only shapes and images are transferred, with cautious default values (20 %, 80 mm/s); milling depths, bits and toolpaths stay in the app.
Not transferable
Kerf, air assist, cross-hatching, overscan, bridges and tabs, image crops, dithering, contrast and brightness of images, the rotary axis and the placeholders of variable text (the current row applies). Shapes set to Do not laser and hidden shapes are left out.
